Courses usually run for 24 weeks, with 1.5 days per week made up of:

Food

Provision House runs a Food Club designed to help individuals and families reduce the cost of their weekly food shopping while receiving additional support and guidance.

The Food Club is a membership-based project where members pay £5 per visit and can choose around £25 worth of groceries. Food available may include fresh, chilled and frozen items, tins, packets, bread, toiletries, cleaning products and occasional baby items. The range of items can vary each week.

Alongside affordable food, members can access advice and guidance on issues such as budgeting, debt, benefits, Universal Credit tasks, and managing energy or water bills. The team can also help with practical support such as filling in forms, understanding letters, or connecting with other services including training, employment support, housing advice and wellbeing services.

How to access the service
Access is usually by referral from a trusted organisation that is already supporting you, such as a charity, support service or community organisation.

If your circumstances have changed suddenly and you need help reducing your food bills, you can contact the Food Club directly to discuss your situation. The team will explain the service and arrange an initial assessment if appropriate.

Membership is normally reviewed every three months to make sure the Food Club is still providing the right support.

Progression Plus Recruitment Support

Provision House runs Progression Plus (+), a community-focused recruitment and employment support initiative helping local residents connect with job opportunities across the Black Country.

The service works with employers who are open to recruiting people who may have been out of work or need support getting back into employment. Provision House helps match residents to suitable roles by supporting them with CV preparation, applications and interview practice.

People can join the service in two ways. Those who have been unemployed for some time can take part in Employability Progression Programmes, which include training, work experience and one-to-one support before moving into job opportunities. For people who already have experience but need help returning to work, CV Masterclasses are available to refresh CVs, identify transferable skills and connect with potential roles.

Provision House also runs Provision House Jobs, a developing jobsite where employers can advertise roles and connect with candidates supported through their programmes.

Access to employment can help people increase their income, maintain secure housing and move towards greater independence. By linking training, recruitment and local employers, Progression Plus helps people take practical steps towards stable employment.
