Dottie's Community Fridge

This exciting project offers free surplus food to anyone in need, thanks to generous funding from Hubbub and Heart of England Community Foundation.

Dottie's Community Fridge aims to reduce food waste while supporting our local community. The fridge will be stocked with surplus food, available free of charge on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It's our hope that this initiative will make a real difference, providing people with access to healthy, nutritious food while reducing unnecessary waste.

How Dottie's Community Fridge Works

Dottie's Community Fridge is here to serve everyone. Whether you're facing financial challenges, looking to reduce your own food waste, or simply want to access surplus food in a convenient location, the fridge is available to all. It operates on a no-questions-asked basis, ensuring that anyone who needs food can easily access it without judgment.

Simply visit the Dorothy Parkes Centre on Tuesdays (12pm to 2pm), Wednesdays (9.30am to 12pm & 5pm to 7pm) and Fridays between 9.30am and 12pm to see what’s available. Whether it’s fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, or packaged items, there will always be a variety of options for you to take home.
