Medical Practice for people who are homeless.
We are a GP practice based at Ancoats. As well as general medical service we also provide specialist services to those experiencing homelessness within Manchester.
We offer full GP registration for homeless individuals in Manchester and also offer a wide range of primary healthcare services alongside partner agencies. We deliver a hospital in-reach service to homeless patients admitted to Manchester Royal Infirmary and nursing outreach in day centres and hostels across Manchester.
We provide homeless individuals with access to various professionals and services, including drug
and alcohol workers, tissue viability, mental health services, infectious diseases clinics and referral to
secondary care services.

Drop-In
We run a drop-in registration session every Thursday between 09:30 and 11:30 am where people can come to be assessed for GP registration. If you are unable to attend this time please contact the practice.

Pre-bookable and on the day appointments are available with specialist doctors and nurses 5 days per week.
Patients can book by phoning, submitting an online request or booking in person at

A tissue viability drop-in clinic for people who are homeless in Manchester runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 1pm and 4pm.
This is available to patients who are and are not registered with the Urban Village Medical Practice.

We offer a weekly mental health clinic with the GMMH Homeless Mental Health Team.

Our nursing team delivers outreach clinics at day centres and hostels in Manchester using our fully equipped mobile unit.

We deliver an in-reach service at Manchester Royal Infirmary to support and signpost homeless patients who have been admitted.
The role of the team is to support patients during their admission and enable them to continue to engage with healthcare when they are ready to leave hospital.
